Overview

Delex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZENETEX, is seeking a full time Acquisition/Contract Specialist to provide administrative support to a U.S. Navy program office at the Washington Navy Yard.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Acquisition/Contract Specialist shall perform acquisition administrative and analytical support to the program office's acquisition activities. This includes monitoring program schedules, tracking acquisition actions and providing periodic status reports, developing and managing acquisition documentation, and monitoring contract execution.

 

Specific tasks expected are:

  • Development and monitorinsg of CDRL tracking worksheets
  • Development of schedules for program office reviews
  • Preparation of procurement request packages to include Statements of Work, CDRL exhibits, and government furnished equipment
  • Preparation of monthly reports for the program office summarizing project management status, planning actions, and financial status to include cost data of ongoing actions
  • Professional interface with government program offices and other program contractors through formal and informal project status reviews on preparation and editing program office acquisition/contracts documentation
  • Support the review of prime contractor performance, tracking of CDRL and Non-CDRL deliverables, contract discrepancies, and contract funding status within the government program office
  • Manage development of acquisition documentation and scientific engineering and technical review (SETR) support to fulfill requirements of DoD 5000.02 for ACAT 3 programs

 

The successful applicant will directly support the government's Assistant Project Manager (APM) and project manager implementation of the program's acquisition strategy. This includes preparing and coordinating the approval of regulatory and statutory documentation and managing preparations for milestone decision reviews in accordance with DoD Acquisition Guidance.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with good working knowledge of the DoD and NAVSEA Acquisition Process
  • Bachelor's Degree desired; courses in supply chain management preferred
  • Completion of DAU Acquisition 101 course required

Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret Clearance with SSBI (within the past 5 years), SCI access
