Overview

Delex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZENETEX, is seeking a Tactical Weapon Systems Engineer. This engineer will provide support to the program manager and chief engineer for a DoD tactical weapon acquisition program. This position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • This support will include requirements analysis and traceability, Analyses of Alternatives, Technology Readiness Level analyses, recommended course(s) of action and recommended issue resolution. Provide engineering support for the integration of Avionics subsystems through requirements analysis and traceability, systems engineering plan management, systems interface development, and risk management
  • Conduct investigative system analysis of the impact of subsystem architecture, interfaces, and performance to the overall system relative to performance, cost, equipment, risk, integration, test and evaluation, and facilities
  • Provide technical review and analysis of technology refreshment and/or product improvements
  • Develop Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), acquisition, and sustainment, documents
  • Provide the full range of systems engineering support processes for systems during all life-cycle stages
  • Interface with a variety of integrated team personnel

Education and Experience Requirements

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering experience with an ACAT major acquisition program
  • Experience with one or more of the following types of systems: air, surface or sub launched weapons; precision guided weapons; smart weapons; standoff weapons; cruise missiles; anti-ship weapons; mission planning systems
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: weapon system survivability; electronic countermeasures, electronic attack, or electronic protection systems, infrared signature control; radar signature control; weapon/launch platform integration
  • Experience working within a classified program environment

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical or scientific field is required. An advanced degree, particularly Systems or Electrical Engineering, desired
  • A minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience in a combination of platform test, acquisition and systems engineering required. Experience with, and knowledge of, the DoD acquisition cycle and methodology, systems engineering technical review (SETR) cycle, engineering change proposal (ECP) development, specification and statement of work development. Work experience at NAVAIR strongly desired
  • Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with background investigation completed within the past 5 years

Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance.
