Delex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZENETEX, is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a government location in Columbia, MD.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the GSA Fleet Vehicle inventory

  • Inventory management of vehicles, metro-cards, EZ-Pass, GPS, and related vehicle safety equipment. 
  • Use the GSA Drive-Thru website to constantly monitor and report maintenance, mileage, returns, and usage.
  • Coordinate through the GSA fleet division representative to obtain or renew vehicle registration, undercover state plates, and GSA fleet credit cards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, schedule services, cleaning, and recalls, submit mileage reports and various financial documents, brief higher government officials on accountability, status, incidentals, and aid in the drafting of the program GSA Fleet Vehicle Policy.

Disposition Management

  • Determine disposition method of equipment based off of category, classification, sanitization, and type of equipment.  Identify and obtain proper authority for disposition and keypunch inventory into classified network using approved (controlled access) logistics program.   Instruct users on proper preparation of equipment to be disposed of according to established rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate transportation support with escort/witness to verify disposition while providing/filing proper documentation.  Maintain and manage documentation and records of disposition for equipment.  Schedule and conduct nation-wide site visits to evaluate the needs and logistical requirements for material disposition support according to Defense Reutilization and Marketing Services requirements.
  • Identify and provide logistics plans in support of classified/unclassified projects, identify and coordinate viable solutions with the CORs and program managers, present briefings, make decisions on and recommend current and future project requirements, perform site surveys to establish a plan/schedule to dispose of all equipment.

Facilities Maintenance

  • Function as the facilities representative for all outside work crews and project coordinators, respond to equipment malfunctions as it pertains to the building and its equipment.
  • Monitor project status, estimated completion dates and options to mitigate the potential impact caused by modification or construction work.  Develop professional working relationships with local contractors responsible for general maintenance to promote positive communication and timely results. 


  • Plan and schedule site inspections for safety, monitor and update Emergency Action Plan continuously, monitor incoming and outgoing personnel to adequately account for available space for future seating requirement changes.  Enlist the aid of contractors to evaluate identified space for expansion as it pertains to safety, electrical, and IT requirements.
  • Draft formal documentation such as a Statement of Objectives and review various Statements of Work to understand the scope of labor to be performed as requested by the end-user.  Coordinate through the Army Corps of Engineers and property management to oversee the projects to completion.

Material Support

  • Research technical data for items of supply, receive and process requisitions into a Federal approved supply system.  Verify and monitor available funds and future funding while drafting Simplified Acquisition Purchase Requests for program support.  Monitor and manage stock levels of supplies and provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of material support and follow up with responsible parties to assure that necessary actions are taken.  Resolve difficult issues relative to material support, review all incoming material and its coordinating receipts for accuracy and ensure that all discrepancies are resolved with the appropriate agency or company.
  • Act as the on-site shipping & receiving agent for all incoming and outgoing controlled equipment.  Draft a DD-1149 to account for and show change of custody of equipment.  Act as, and maintain requirements to be, an official courier authorized to transport U.S. government classified material.

Records Management

  • Accurate digital records will be maintained in addition to hard copies of documentation.  Use the records for research, verification, and financial data.
  • Verify records for semi-annual audits, review requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine priority supply action requirements.  Maintain all documentation that involves the equipment lifecycle from cradle to grave in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting and reporting systems for property arriving and departing.  Review records and determine distribution requirements for property that has become obsolete or excess to the needs of the organization and its customers.

Education and Experience Requirements

  •  A minimum of 5 years experience in performing the above duties

Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance based on a current SSBI (SCI elligible)
