ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for an Electronics Technician III to support our SPAWAR Systems Center Depot in San Diego, CA. Qualified candidates will have a background in internal communications (STC-2), WSC-3, HF, HFRG, SATCOM antennas, Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Fleet Broadcast (AN/SSR-1) and TACAN.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
  • Determines the location and density of circuitry, evaluates electromagnetic radiation, isolates malfunctions, and incorporates engineering changes as needed
  • Applies a high level of understanding of the interrelationships of circuits in order to complete required tasks
  • Exercises independent judgment in performing tasks such as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow
  • Utilizes complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment
  • May provide technical guidance to level II and I technicians

Education and Experience Requirements

Education Requirements  

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of industry trade/civilian college with an electronics focus is required; completion of an appropriate military “A" school along with completion of at least one appropriate military “B" or "C" school may be substituted for the 2 year requirement
  • Associate’s degree or higher in EE, CE, CS, TM, IS, IRM, IT, or Physics is required 

Experience Requirements 

  • 6 years of recent C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes
  • Qualified candidates will possess experience in internal communications (STC-2), WSC-3, HF, HFRG, SATCOM antennas, Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Fleet Broadcast (AN/SSR-1) and TACAN


Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
