ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for a SQL Server Administrator for our government client located at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform administration of SQL Server databases
  • Review, evaluate, design, implement and maintain databases
  • Implement and operate SQL Server Services that include SQL Server components running on physical, stand alone, and clustered servers as well as Virtual Machine environments
  • Write SQL code for database access, modifications to include stored procedures
  • Code, test and implement databases
  • Manage and administer medium to large scale databases; create backups, maintenance plans and disaster recovery plans
  • Design and modify database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers)
  • Review disaster recovery logs, detect and resolve database errors, and optimize database performance
  • Apply patches, security fixes, and upgrades to existing database design

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Math
  • 5+ years of SQL Server administration 
  • Position requires DoD IAT-II compliance; CompTia Security + and an OS certification required  

Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance. Position may ultimately require a Top Secret clearance.
