    ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for a talented Senior Systems Administrator (SA) to manage all Automated Information Systems (AIS) for a program office based in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The (SA) will have experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting systems in both a physical and virtual Windows prominent environment. The Senior (SA) will supervise Junior (SA)’s in the installation and management of all information systems and support the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with the assessment and authorization of these systems in accordance with the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Serves as a principal advisor on all matters, technical involving the LAN/WAN infrastructure under her/his purview
    • Control all program office classified information systems in a LAN/WAN environment
    • Manage IT system planning and installation in a heterogeneous environment
    • Manage hardware and software acquisition
    • Manage the resolution of connectivity issues
    • Monitor the information systems environment and manage hardware and software maintenance to proactively prevent downtime
    • Responsible for advanced troubleshooting of complex issues in the field
    • Ensure proper protection or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered within a system
    • Ensure that security testing and evaluations are completed and documented
    • Analyze changes in the system, its environment, and operational needs that could affect the accreditation
    • Assist ISSM/O in the creation and implementation of (AIS) test plans
    • Ensure that system recovery processes are monitored to ensure that security features and procedures are properly restored
    • Provide expert research and analysis in support of system upgrades and network expansion

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor s degree in a related area or equivalent experience five (5) years
    • Certifications: Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570. 01-M regarding Information Assurance Workforce requirements for Systems Administration


    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Systems Administration working in a DoD classified environment (military, government civilian, DoD contractor)
    • Meets DoD 8570.01-M requirements
    • Holds a current OS certification such as MCSE or MCSA
    • Experience administering a Windows based thin client environment
    • Experience Administering Windows Server 2008 – 2016 OS’s
    • Thorough understanding of Windows server/client architecture in an Active Directory environment
    • Experience with Virtualization technologies
    • Knowledge of Backup technologies
    • Experience administering Linux based systems
    • Experience in Systems Architecture and capacity planning



    • Experience as a Systems Administrator in a JSIG/RMF policy driven environment
    • Experience working within an enhanced security environment
    • Experience administering a PKI infrastructure
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field

    Security Clearance

    •  This position will require U.S. citizenship and a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
