We have an opportunity for a Nuclear Surety Engineer to support our government customer at Hill AFB, UT. This position will require an active DoD TS/SCI clearance to start.

    Description

    • The Nuclear Surety Engineer will:
      Conduct technical nuclear surety analyses, nuclear certification assessments, and risk& vulnerability analyses
    • Perform safety/security evaluations of the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, propulsion, transportation & handling, nuclear command & control, software, and communications subsystems
    • Provide direction on Nuclear Safety Design Certification compliance including weapon system specifications, weapon system architecture, and compliance documents (DoDD, DoDIs, AFIs, and AFMANs) with integration into Model Based System Engineering environment to produce required artifacts for Nuclear Certification in accordance with AFI 63-125.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar STEM course of study, and a minimum of two-years of related experience
    • Must have experience supporting DoD or Air Force Nuclear Enterprise policy and processes
    • ICBM work experience, particularly related to ICBM design, operations, requirements, maintenance, or security is preferred
    • Experience conducting Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is preferred
    • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels
    • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required

     

    Security Clearance

    • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
