    Our Security Practice provides holistic, integrated security protection for government agencies and their industry partners enabling compliance with challenging security requirements. Using advanced technology, approved processes, and procedures, our highly skilled personnel provide systematic protection of physical assets, Intellectual Property, and malicious intrusion of computer-stored information. A brand new contract award has created the opportunity for a Contractor Program Security Officer; this position will support a government agency located in Huntsville, AL. The CPSO will develop and implement multi-disciplined security program for complex, major acquisition programs and must be knowledgeable of personnel, industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security principles.

    Description

    • Provide all facets of program security administration in support of program initiatives, to include personnel, physical, information, industrial, and SCI security.
    • Prepare Co-Utilization Agreements (CUAs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) for review and approval.
    • Develop and review SOPs; maintain SOP facility folder.
    • Participate in self-inspection activities.
    • Conduct security oversight inspections and staff assistance visits (SAVs); prepare inspection or SAV reports, monitor progress of corrective actions.
    • Attend program meetings as security representative.
    • Perform Program indoctrination briefings, refresher training, and debriefings.
    • Manage Program Access Request (PAR) program to include preparing PARs, letters of compelling need (LOCNs), indoctrination agreements (SAPIAs); reviewing Pre-Screening Questionnaires (PSQs) and templates, and personnel financial statements (PFS).
    • Manage adverse information, foreign contact, and foreign travel reports.
    • Verify and update Program Access Rosters.
    • Prepare and maintain personnel security files (PSFs).
    • Prepare, transmit, and receive visitor access requests (VARs); verify visitor clearances.
    • Assist the program manager with annual program access validations.
    • Update security management database to document personnel accesses, debriefs, and suspensions.
    • Provide guidance and oversight to defense contractors.
    • Prepare, review and coordinate DD 254s.
    • Provide day-to-day security management and oversight of the SAPFs/SCIFs.
    • Review Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and make corrective recommendations.
    • Implement all applicable requirements to maintain Facility Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
    • Maintain all required facility paperwork and accreditations.
    • Coordinate tests, inspections, repairs of program facilities.
    • Prepare and brief couriers on responsibilities.
    • Ensure proper handling and marking of classified materials.
    • Account for all TS Material; maintain TSCO Logbook.
    • Inventory and label all existing media within facility.
    • Perform document control functions such as document receipt/dispatch, secure fax transmissions.
    • Develop security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information.
    • Conduct annual inventory of accountable classified material.
    • Assist with the Security Awareness and Education program; reviews inspection results to correlate training products and priorities.
    • Monitor security incidents.
    • Ensure adequate secure storage and workspaces for customers.
    • Identify and requisition equipment and supply needs.
    • Coordinate conference room meetings; brief visitors to security requirements of facility; escort non-cleared personnel.

    Qualifications

    • Must have 3-10 years of experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) with at least 3 cumulative years in acquisition program. The last program-related position must be within the last nine months.
    • Strong writing ability.
    • BS/BA in related field or a combination of lower-level education, formal training and experience beyond the Journeyman baseline.
    • Experience with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
    • Travel: CONUS travel is approximately two weeks per year.

    Security Clearance

    • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
