    ZENETEX has become a major force in the field of aircraft maintenance. We proudly support all four branches of the military in performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level aircraft, ground vehicle, and component maintenance. We have an immediate opportunity for an Aircraft Mechanic II - Electrician to support the 595th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) at Offutt AFB, NE.


    The Aircraft Electrician will provide Organizational-level maintenance on the E-4B aircraft. Specific responsibilities may include:

    •  Performing a variety of electrical trade functions for the E-4B, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
    • Maintaining, repairing, and modifying aircraft pneumatic and electrical components to include air conditions packs, flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatic, fuel systems and mechanical components
    • Applying demonstrated technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and in restoring equipment condition and/or operation.
    • Installing or repairing of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
    • Utilizing blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical systems or equipment
    • Using standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • A minimum of 4 years of aviation experience performing the above duties and responsibilities
    • This work requires well-rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
    • Extensive knowledge is required of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to E&E systems; concepts and application of maintenance directives; meanings of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics; and proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials
    • Must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions
    • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, and broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
    • Experience on the E-4B aircraft highly desired

    Physical Demands

    • Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.

    Work Environment (ADA)

    • May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.
