Position Overview

ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an immediate opportunity for qualified Aircraft Mechanic II/Inspectors to support our Contractor Field Team in New Orleans.We have an opportunity for an Aircraft II, Inspector to support our Contractor Field Team (CFT) at NAS JRB New Orleans. 


  • Provides input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assists in the recommendation of changes to (MWO)
  • Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
  • Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation
  • Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures’ manuals 


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of 2 years of aviation experience performing the above duties and responsibilities
  • Must have specialization in sheet-metal and structural repairs
  • Must be able to prioritize workloads and lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks
  • Must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, and broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
  • Certified NDT Level II Inspector certified in all aspects of Magnetic Particle Inspection techniques, Fluorescent Penetrant, Eddy Current inspections on Aircraft Engines and Support Equipment.
  • Must meet minimum requirements for the qualification for the certification of personnel performing Nondestructive testing (NDT) in the aerospace manufacturing, service, maintenance and overhaul industries in accordance with NAS 410 or equivalent.
  • Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.

Work Environment (ADA)  

  • May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.   

Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Active clearance highly desired.
